The Kangertech ProTank has earned a huge following since its early introduction of the ProTank (1), than came along the ProTank 2 (with the detachable drip tip) and soon the introduction of its 'mini-me', the Mini ProTank 2. It's famous to be in the inventory of each absolute beginner, due to its affordability, excellent vapour & brilliant flavour production and the simplicity of it.
Being in the category of a non-rebuildable atomiser or tanks, the Kangertech ProTank simply vaporises the e-liquids through its ready-made coil heads. These coil heads are cheaply available for an average price of RM10 and can be replaced by un-screwing the old one and replacing the new one by screwing in. Usually a new coil could be used from anywhere from 2-4 weeks, depending on the user.
However, as absolute beginner's tend to graduate to frequent users, the Kangertech ProTank soon out shined to perform as a rebuildable tank. Imagine, getting a tank for its simplicity, being famous for its affordability, producing good flavour and overall was going at par with some of those shiny tanks that stayed in the shelves with a 3 digit price tags on them.
Lets move on to 'How to Recoil a Kangertech ProTank'
When it comes to recoiling, we believe visual learning helps the most. So we’ve prepared a playlist below that can guide you on the process of recoiling the Kanger ProTank by:
- Simple re-coiling using a 0.2mm kanthal wire (32AWG – American Wire Gauge) with standard silica wick
- A nano micro-coil using a 0.32mm German kanthal wire (28AWG – American Wire Gauge) with organic cotton (highly recommended once you’ve mastered simple recoiling!)
- And a SS Mesh micro-coil using the 0.32mm German kanthal wire (28AWG – American Wire Gauge) with stainless steel mesh (highly recommended once you’ve mastered simple recoiling!)
Remember, recoiling is a skill and you would get better and better at it with practice and patience. Take it easy if you didn’t succeed in the first few times, just be sure to have spares ready so you can practice recoiling your atomiser until it works perfect. Every success will make you more adept at it and you’ll find yourself recoiling with greater speed and with much less effort on the next time.
